Casa de Compostela Vinho Verde is a real customer favourite. The Casa Agricola de Compostela Estate was founded in the 1960s by Manuel Gonçalves, a visionary entrepreneur who always fought for the highest standards of excellence. Till this day the winery still remains family owned and operated. Young wine of quality. Fresh, harmonious and fruity- combined with citrus fruit and floral notes at the finish. The grape varieties used are local Loureiro, Arinto and Trajadura. The wine tastes like its name - meaning green wine - it has a slight pettiance which is really welcoming , followed by a crisp `green` appley flavour and a generous long minerally crisp finish. This wine is a great aperitif and just lovely to sip in the sun with friends on Summer evenings - or to wish you were. A lovely wine and great value. Light and fresh and fairly low in alcohol
