Spirit of Yorkshire Filey Bay Moscatel Finish Single Malt Whisky is a field to bottle single malt whisky that was initially matured in bourbon casks filled in 2016. The whisky was then transferred to barrels that previously held Moscatel. With the Filey Bay Moscatel Finish Single Malt Whisky the use of bourbon casks followed by Moscatel barrels creates a very interesting, flavourful whisky. Filey Bay Moscatel Finish single malt is still light and soft like the Spirit of Yorkshire Filey Bay Flagship. However the Moscatel Finish has some added depth, more layers of orange marmalade fruit and sweet, warming spices. Spirit of Yorkshire are the first single malt distillery in Yorkshire and have already got heads turning in the world whisky scene.
