Harrow & Hope Brut Rose. This is Harrow & Hope’s 2nd non-vintage release of their ever-popular Rosé. Although non-vintage, the majority of the blend is based on 2018, the hottest and driest growing season for the last 30 years, which produced a ripe, abundant and disease free crop the rare trifecta in grape growing terms. This weather translated into an easy life for a winemaker, pick when you want, and then just gently guide the wine through the process without having to do much at all. It is a 50% Pinot Noir, 30% Chardonnay, 20% Pinot Meunier blend. Open and friendly on release it will continue to develop more complexity for many years to come. Harrow & Hope’s single-vineyard sits on an ancient Thames gravel terrace. Being quite central and away from the coast the vineyard experiences high summer day temperatures with cooler nights that preserve precious acidity.
