This Masut Estate Pinot Noir is simply wonderful. This Californian Pinot Noir has it all. Masut Vineyard and Winery have produced a wine that is fruity, rich, velvety and smooth. There are hints of cherries on the nose and in the mouth these evolve into a rich chocolatey hit of loveliness. This Masut Estate Pinot Noir is complex and sophisticated. The presentation is simple but striking. At the Masut vineyard the fruit is picked by hand and shuttled from the estate vines directly to the cellar. Small open top tanks are used to keep each vineyard block and clone separate through fermentation. New Masut wines are aged in French oak barrels "sure lie" for up to 15 months before being bottled, unfined and unfiltered.
