This Sonnenmulde Blauer Zweigelt is dark red and purple around the edges. It has an inviting bouquet with fruit and beautiful cherry aromas. The tannin structure is full bodied, elegant and yet typically soft. Zweigelt is an indigenous Austrian grape and is probably the most important of all the Austrian red wine varieties nowadays. The Sonnenmulde estate was among the first to plant this new variety of vine in Gols which has given them lots of experience with growing this grape.) The Blauer Zweigelt is made from the oldest vines on the winery. Although they provide less yield they give a much riper, more concentrated, richer flavour.
