Chateau Jany is actually in Barsac but adopts the Sauternes designation (Barsac being a sub-district thereof). It`s a small property making just 250 cases a year from 90% Semillon, 5% Sauvignon and 5% Muscadelle. Made from late harvested Semillon grapes grown on the left bank of the river Garonne. Chateau Jany Sauternes is a rich and aromatic dessert wine with notes of grapefruit and lemon on the nose and concentrated flavours of apricot and mango.
