Azienda Agricola Il Botolo Piemont Chardonnay Barrique 2021
This slightly oaked Chardonnay is from the wonderful Azienda Agricola of Il Botolo in Monferrato in Piemonte. The Piemonte DOC Chardonnay from il Botolo Azienda Agricola is an excellent white wine and is aged in steel and then for 6 months in Barriques. The aging takes place in medium toasted French oak barriques which gives a complexity and rich olfactory sensations with nuances of vanilla and acacia honey. A straw yellow colour with greenish reflections the nose has intense aromas of banana and exotic fruit. On the palate it reveals a good balance between softness, structure and excellent persistence. This Chardonnay Barrique is excellent to accompany structured first courses, soups with seafood, white meats and aged cheeses.
