Barbeito Single Harvest 2008
Grapes from a single vineyard located in Estreito de Câmara de Lobos in the south coast of Madeira Island. Arresting of fermentation takes place at the desired degree of sweetness by adding vinic alcohol (96%). Half of the grapes were harvested a week before they reached full maturation, thus obtaining higher acidity levels. This characteristic was reinforced by the use of continuous press in the winemaking process. This wine was aged in March 2009, by the traditional Canteiro method, under moderate temperatures, in old French oak casks. In March 2019, 2.986 bottles were filled, all individually numbered.
