This Corte Adami Amarone della Valpolicella is an outstanding red wine, made from the Corvina, Corvinone and Rondinella Grape varieties. The grapes are laid out in small boxes to dry and to shriven them and to concentrate the flavours. The wine is then aged in small oak barrels. The result is a luscious deep red wine that is superbly soft and elegant. Deep smooth flavours of Christmas cake and spices, generous strong and sweet with a rich spicy cherry finish. This is one to share and to drink on special occasions. Rated 92 Points by James Suckling. His notes as follows ` Very spicy, meaty nose, offering paprika, roast lamb, dark-chocolate orange and a melange of bright, fresh spice. Some orange rind too. On the palate, spicier and more citrussy elements take hold and, to a large extent, even out the complexity of the nose. Still, there`s no lack of interest here`
