Domaine Girard Pinot Gris 2023
The Domaine Girard is a family estate and Patrick has been the owner since 1991 and in 2013 his son, Guillaume, joined him. The estate is located between 2 rivers (Sèvre & Maine), in the heart of the Muscadet area. Thanks to this situation the main production is the Muscadet Sèvre et Maine sur lie (90% of the vineyard surface area). The vineyard is planted on schist and gneiss subsoils which gives elegant fruity aromas and very interesting mineral hints to the wine. This wine displays everything you would like and expect to find in a Pinot Gris. Light, fresh and flavoursome. Hints of ripe stone fruit on the nose and delicious aromas that entice you in to taste the wine. In the mouth the wine is full, yet delicate with beautiful layers of fruit and a hint of acidity that prevents the wine from being overbearing of sweet.
