Château de Gicon Cotes du Rhone is a brilliant and wonderfully consistent Cotes du Rhone wine. The original Chateau de Gicon was built on the site of an ancient Celtic village at the pinnacle of a rocky outcrop. The Chateau overlooks the Rhone Valley with superb views of the French Regions Provence, Languedoc and Auvergne Dauphine. This wine was produced by Laudun-Chusclan, now it is Maison Sinnae. Now just the remains of the Chateau exist but it is slowly being restored by the new owners. This wine is big smooth and powerful and with lovely warming notes. Soft, smooth and flavoursome on the palate with gentle spicy notes and hints of white pepper at the finish. The perfect accompaniment to red meats and cheese but also fine with most dishes because of its smooth intensity.
