Geoff Merrill Shiraz Grenache Mourvedre is something special - here you find classic Rhone Valley grape varieties but grown in Australia. Big, full, rich and bold but with a style and character that links towards its French origins. A big and classy wine. Aromas of coffee and spice with a hint of fennel while the palate is youthful with the old vine Grenache providing raspberries and black cherries, black currant from the Shiraz and the Mourvedre in there giving verve. This is all supported by a firm yet fine tannin structure with well integrated oak adding complexity to the wine. Great with MEAT! 55% Shiraz, 37% Grenache and 8% Mourvedre.
